Now defunct fake-news Brit sites, 1ndependent and Da1lyMail (see the naming convention trend?) originally posted this same story last year, claiming that the Queen would not only retire, but skip over Prince Charles in favor of Prince William to be King.
Plenty of other sites have referenced Queen Elizabeth’s impending retirement and leaving the Prince Charles on the throne, which follows the expected royal line of succession. But there’s been no official announcement.
