If you wish to believe that Apple Annouces[sic] Release of Paranormal Communication Application or that a New Gandhi Movie Shocks India, then World News Daily Report is the site for you.

But kindly leave our boots well and dry, thank you very much.

World News Daily Report follows the old-school Tabloid-styled faux-journalism of its predecessors, such as the Weekly World News. They rely on the sheer audacity of the topics covered to be its built-in disclaimer, but because so many just don’t get it, they do also have a Disclaimer Page that states:

“All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle.”

Note: updated 11/15/16 with Disclaimer link.

This article was not funny at all!
    MH131 is a KL-ACK route, not paris.
World News Daily should find other things to joke about, this affects peoples’ lives, the national carrier’s reputation and the country’s economy. Not cool.

  • MikeH

I don’t get it. It’s not funny, it’s just annoying. Am I missing something? Are they just raking some ad revenue by fooling old people?

    • B.C. Batty

of course they are. same way US Weekly or People have been for years.

    • vbscript2

Unfortunately, they seem to trip up some young people, too. But, yes, they make ad revenue by posting outrageous nonsense in hopes that very gullible people will share links to it that will go viral and drive traffic to their site. Lots of times, sites like that also post ridiculous stuff that people of certain political persuasions would be more likely to believe because people seem more willing to suspend disbelief in order to believe something ridiculous about people with whom they disagree politically. For example, the same sort of people who were duped by Harry Reid stating on the Senate floor, without any evidence whatsoever and contrary to all evidence, that Mitt Romney had not been paying taxes. Of course, these people exist in all political persuasions; that’s just a notable example.

      • They must be raking in millions on that ONE ad that appears on each page! (I have ad block software and it tells me how many ads there are in case I’m too doddering to find it on my own.)

    • Everyone’s always picking on the old people! We should pass a law!

  • Virginia Abreu de Paula

Exactly Mikeh. Satire was supposed to be funny. What they are about are not funny and with no respect at all.

  • TByte

They exist solely to drive gullible people to their sites as click bait.
I don’t understand why they have not been sued for slander a dozen times already.

  • Roger Epps

They got some friends of mine all hyped up thinking they had found giant bones. I don’t dispute the Bible and if it says there were giants then I guess there were – But so far NO giant skeletons have been found that could be verified as giant human bones – or any other verifiable evidence of giants humans in the past

  • James Beckham

The only satire here is this article. You lost any credibility you may have had by calling this a satire site. It is news, REAL news! You just don’t like that fact.

    • Shhelb

      LOL!!! Um….no.

    • Terrymac

Yeah, “real” news on planet Tralfamadore!

    • We’ve updated the content with a link to their disclaimer πŸ™‚

  • dancha

If you look long enough you’ll find a real disclaimer too. “All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle.”

    • What I read had no such disclaimer.

      • dancha
        • Yes, I’m sure there is a disclaimer somewhere, but it was not included with the article that accompanied a post on Facebook. I searched for one, and it was not there.

          • dancha

True. It happens often that someone takes a satirical article on a satirical site and shares it on Facebook, as if it were real. Sometimes people expect it to be obvious that it’s satire, and other times they are too happy to accept the worst about people and ideologies for which they have contempt. Once in a while you’ll see satire republished in some sort of journalistic venue as if it were real. It’s always a good idea to check the _original_ source when something seems over the top.

          • Actually, it does not seem over the top. Not at all. ****

MUSLIM ANIMAL ABUSE: Torturing helpless animals for fun and …

          • Sorry, are you citing barenakedislam as a source or just pointing out that it makes up ***? Not entirely clear.

          • We really should outlaw satire.

          • Or perhaps learn to discern what is satire, and what isn’t.

          • Yes, you really should.

          • Satire is supposed to be, at least, humorous. This isn’t. You are apparently easily amused, much like a toddler is.

          • Face it, Suki49, you fell for it. I’ll bet you voted for Trump too, amirite?

  • daronlady620

If this is satire they should make it plain, since this is how disinformation enters the mainstream. There is already far too much of that coming from Republicans.

    • Mary Kilbride

And mostly the democrats…all documented. Hillary getting shot at when she deplaned? All documented.

      • daronlady620

No- NOT mostly Democrats. All politicians lie occasionally, and Hillary has lied no more and considerably less than most politicians. If you’re keeping score, NObody lies more than Republicans.

        • Ruth Smith

Guess you missed Wikileaks total Revelation of the DEMs lies.

        • Troy Hoffman

“Nobody lies more than Republicans.” Very true, as shown in this equation, where D is the number of Democratic politicians that lie, R is the number of Republican politicians that lie and T is the number of Third party politicians that lie:

          D β‰ˆ R β‰ˆ T

As you can see, neither D nor T are more than R. They’re all about equal.

        • James King

Until everyone realizes that all politicians will lie to get more power no changes will every happen. The rarity in either party is the person who speaks the truth and acts in the best interest of the people.

          • James King

The people who believe “no your side lies, mine doesn’t” are a part of the problem

          • Hey, loved you book, man.

          • daronlady620

There won’t be any significant change until there is from-the-ground-up campaign financing reform. The reprehensible Citizens United decision was a huge step in the wrong direction. Instead of one person, one vote we now have what is more accurately described as one dollar, one vote.
And I have long submitted that Truth in Advertising laws should be extended to include political advertising. It wouldn’t cure all the ills but it would go a long way towards insuring that the voters are getting accurate information.

          • The only “changes” that could possibly raise the quality of our lives would be is everyone refused to vote for these lying dirtbags, but few will because they are afraid The Other Team will get into power. Rinse and repeat.

      • Hillary is a Goddess! How can you say such things? next you’ll blame her on Vince Foster’s suicide where he shot himself twice in the back of the head!

  • Nickoli Hubris Mastro

Actually, they website has a disclaimer in the About Us section that says:

“WNDR assumes however all responsibility for the satirical nature of its
articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters
appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real
people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and
any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle.”

    • Lexyvil

The problem is that none of the articles have any satirical factors and can mislead people who don’t read the disclaimer into thinking the news is real.

  • Caleb Moran

I hope some one kills this Obama nazi blogger. If it ain’t the CIA fags or the corrupt fag FBI idiots then it’s some idiot who doesn’t know the truth from his ass. Fu Obama, Fu Hillary you ugly rat head b, Fu Biden you traitor, f u blogger of this arrival , and far the largest

  • If this is supposed to be satire, the people who published it need to go to satire school and find out how to do REAL satire. The fact is, killing a horse for engaging in “homosexual” activity is not over the top for those crazies. I see videos of their insanity. I agree with Mike H. It is just annoying. There is too much real cruelty that we have to endure, without people making some up and thinking that it is somehow clever or amusing.

    • vbscript2

It’s not supposed to be satire. It’s supposed to be clickbait under the guise of satire, used to drive traffic to their site in order to generate ad revenue. There’s nothing funny about it. It’s just a way to trick gullible people into generating revenue for them.

      • Dave Ming-Chang

There are plenty articles on there that seem perfectly plausible unless you’re very familiar with the subject matter. It really isn’t something only gullible people can fall for. I’ve even seen articles from that site been translated by normally trustworthy sites from whom you’d expect that they do their homework first.

        It’s a disgusting practice.

      • Mary Kilbride

Your post seems to be closest to the truth.

      • wrong

    • Mary Kilbride

Nothing is over the top in this sick world today.

    • Archibald_Bomwitz

PEOPLE, as in HUMAN BEINGS, are being executed in Saudi Arabia for being homosexuals! And that is NOT satire, that is FACT! Homosexuality is punishable with death in islam. The holy book of the muslims orders gays to be put to death!

      • Yes, I know. That is why these “satire” sites are so offensive. There is nothing funny about torturing and killing.

      • brian

The Quran does not mandate the death penalty for homosexuals, Show me a verse stating that?
The Bible, however, does “If a man also shall lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.” “If a man also shall lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.” Leviticus 20:1

        • Archibald_Bomwitz

There are lots of passages in the quran that finds homosexuality reprehensible and the of the words of the man Muhammed himself.

Abu Dawud (4462) – The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
said, “Whoever you find doing the action of the
people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.”.

And as you know the hadits are as important in islam as the quran itrself .
And the passage you quote from the bible is from the old testament which is NOT the holy book of christianity. The holy book of christianity is the new testament. When Jesus died at the cross the old testament ceased to be in force and was replaced by the new testament. A good christian is supposed to live according to the teachings of the new testament and follow the example of Jesus.

          • I read Mr. brian’s post a couple of times and nowhere in it did he mention Christianity.
It’s those swarthy Jews who’s book talks about killing homosexuals. (Of course first they’ll raise their rent!)

  • Joan Stevenson
  • Kit

The following article discusses their motivation:

  • Archibald_Bomwitz

It is commendable how Real or Satire points out that the story about a gay horse being euthanized in Saudi Arabia is false! I just wish that they were as quick to tell that gay people really are executed in Saudi Arabia for being gay. And that homosexuality is punished by death in islam!

  • Gracie Bean

    Its an anti-Semitic sight too

  • Stev60

Stupid timewasting garbage that fools some people who post links there. Trolling imbecility.

  • Jett912

The very first sentence on this page below the headline is: “While not β€˜satire,’ per se, World News Daily Report follows the old-school Tabloid-styled faux-journalism of its predecessors, such as the Weekly World News.” IT IS NOT SATIRE. IT IS TABLOID-STYLE JOURNALISM. Think of all those trash mags, that try to look like newspapers, that you always see the covers of while waiting in line at the grocery store. The ones with outrageous titles like “Bat Boy Found Alive” or “Such-and-such celebrity kidnapped my dog!”

To be honest, I’m a bit surprised so many of you are this confused. This page is only seven (7) lines of text! You didn’t make it past the headline? It explains everything pretty clearly in around 100 words. World News Daily Report is not satire. It’s not supposed to be funny. You’re not supposed to laugh. There is nothing to “get.” Look, if you’re still confused, just flip through some of those tabloid “papers” the next time you’re at the grocery store. It’ll all become pretty clear if you’re actually awake.

  • Christine Donley

It’s clear that the motive of this site is not humor but just 100% deception. Which has the added bonus of putting doubt in your own abilities to vet information, and to just let the “professionals” deliver the news. Even does a surprisingly poor job of debunking WNDR, by putting a link to each indivicual story of theirs that gains traction rather than just saying “WDNR is fake any and all news that comes from WNDR is fake.” Google search results make it seem like people are awfully shy about making WNDR known to be fake, including the site itself.. And YouTube has no real results at all. Hmmmm…. Can anybody dig up the info on who actually owns and /or runs this site? I tried but didn’t get to far. I’d really like to know, and I have a feeling it would be really interesting
